Richard J. Wiegand has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree (1963) from Polytechnic University in New York, NY and a Master of
Science in Electro Physics degree (1975) from George Washington University in Washington, DC. He has authored 12 United States patents during
his successful 37-year career as an electronics engineer.
He is the author of a textbook on electronic warfare, "Radar Electronic Countermeasures System Design" (ISBN 0-89006-381-8), and has taught a
course on its contents at many locations in the United States. Since his retirement from full-time employment he has done consulting, teaching and
independent research aimed at profitably generating more United States patents. His teaching activities include being a part-time mathematics
instructor at a college near his home.
This book is based on one of his hobbies: searching for reality. His other hobbies have included biking, hiking, sailing, chess, amateur radio and
amateur astronomy.
